A calm space for rest and renewal

A calm space for rest and renewal

A haven in the Scottish Borders available for those seeking a quiet break, Wren Studio is created specifically for rest and renewal.

You may wish simply to slow down, step away from your usual routine and rest, revitalise, detox and/or take gentle exercise. You may be tired or stressed from work or caring for others.

Perhaps you have suffered loss  or illness and need a safe place in which to heal and adjust.  Or you may long for the time and space to deepen your spiritual practice, away from the bustle of everyday life.

Whatever brings you to Wren Studio, you will be welcomed and lovingly supported by Kate  Atchley – wise soul, creator of sound journeys, counsellor and interfaith minister.

Wellbeing for body, mind and spirit

Wellbeing for body, mind and spirit

The studio is part of Kate's home and she will be there alongside you (see The Invitation).

"I will meet you as a soul companion," she says. "Each of us comes in human form – with our bodies and minds. For us to achieve wellbeing, these need our loving care and attention as do our soul and spiritual life."

This is easily overlooked in the busyness, pressures and distractions of daily life. And with the pandemic having effected us all so profoundly, finding and maintaining life-balance is even harder.

A restful stay at Wren Studio offers a chance to explore more fully who you are, what you need and how best to fulfil your life purpose.

Kate will support your holistic wellbeing with compassion, grace and insight.

Created for relaxation and nourishment

Created for relaxation and nourishment

Custom built as retreat space, the Studio is restful on the eye. It is light, spacious and furnished for comfort with gentle colours, original artwork and hand-crafted materials. Looking out to the garden, the variety of planting ensures year-round appeal and colour.

The great outdoors is on your doorstep to enjoy, surrounded as you are by beautiful Borders countryside and close proximity to one of Scotland's great rivers. The Teviot is teaming with wildlife and, for the lucky few, there is a shy family of otters to watch.

With walks to discover, river swimming for the brave-hearted and bird watching for twitchers you need not range far from the studio. Stay home, stay relaxed?

You may also feast on healthy goodies from Kate's kitchen – sourdough breads, kombucha, fermented krauts and kimchi, preserves and honey from her bees.

Nourishment takes many forms at Wren Studio... see The Story for more.
